Sanctuary House is seeking a compassionate and dependable full-time Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will use your personal recovery experience and professional training to help individuals identify their strengths, work toward recovery goals, connect with community resources, and build greater independence.

Required Qualification


Applicants must hold an ACTIVE North Carolina Peer Support Specialist Certification.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide recovery-focused peer support services
  • Share lived experience appropriately to promote hope and engagement
  • Help individuals identify goals, strengths, and natural supports
  • Connect individuals with community resources and services
  • Maintain timely and accurate service documentation
  • Collaborate with team members and community partners
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, dependable follow-through, appropriate professional boundaries, and a genuine commitment to supporting individuals living with mental health or substance use challenges.
